Who Won Top Chef?

Top Chef [SPOILER ALERT: The next story discloses the champion of Top Chef Season 9. Read at the own risk.]After trekking through Texas and long lasting more all-nighters and meat challenges than imaginable, Paul Qui and Sarah Grueneberg faced off during the last time for that Top Chef Season 9 title.Top Chef's Lindsay: I did not take enough risksNo sooner had Lindsay become the boot, Tom and Padma reveal the ultimate challenge: produce a four-course tasting menu within the restaurant you've always dreamt of. A few of the removed chefs in the whole season - including He Who Couldn't Butchers, Tyler - together with master chefs Barbara Lynch and Marco Canora, arrive to prepare a dish hoping being Paul's and Sarah's sous chefs. Each pick four following a blind tasting. Paul selects Barbara, Ty-lor, "Malibu" Chris and Keith. Sarah selects Nyesha, Tyler ("I am not allowing you to butchers," she informs him), Louise and Grayson.Sarah, clearly, has her hands full with Tyler (who's putting on his trademarked Chef Tyler Stone chef jacket, natch), but Paul is worried that none of his sous chefs understand his Asian style. He needs to nix crab after finding the meat is funky, but fortunately he's prawns like a backup. The idol judges and also the chefs' families split up into groups for dining.Top Chef's Beverly: I certainly felt the fan supportHere's the things they offered:Paul, Qi RestaurantFirst course: chawanmushi, edamame, pea shoots and place prawnsSecond course: grilled ocean bass with clam dashi, selected radishes and mushroomsThird course: congee with scrambled eggs, uni, kale and smoked albacoreFourth course: coconut frozen treats, puffed grain, kumquats, mangosteen, Thai chili foam and jasmin geleeSarah, Monte Verde RestaurantFirst course: squid ink tagliatelle, place prawns and cocunutSecond course: rye-crusted steelhead trout with fennel sauce, pickled beets and gras pistaThird course: braised veal cheekbones with crispy sweetbread and polentaFourth course: hazelnut cake with kumquat and whitened chocolate ganacheTop Chef's Beverly: I certainly felt the fan supportAfter the very first service, Sarah attempts to fix her polenta for that second one and averts disaster when her fiancé informs her to check on her seafood because his were built with a bone inside it. Paul, however, told Keith to fireplace off a lot of chawanmushi plus they finish up overcooked, but he's instructed to serve them.Overall, both of them earn high praise - Padma calls Sarah's dessert the very best she's ever endured on the program - but the majority of the idol judges required problem together with her sweetbread dish. Paul, extremely high price ticket, will get dinged for his second chawanmushi service.Carrying out a lengthy deliberation, Padma crowns... Paul Top Chef! (This really is his ninth challenge win of year, incidentally.)Paul, awesome as always, takes everything in stride, while his parents and girlfriend cry and celebrate. Sarah tearfully states she thinks she warrants to become Top Chef, however it wasn't her day. What have you think about the finale? Did the best chef win?
